Alisa Krayenes is a global climate and maritime policy leader serving as Head of Ports & Shipping at C40 Cities, where she leads international initiatives focused on decarbonizing ports, maritime freight, and shipping systems in major cities around the world. In this role, she works with city governments, port authorities, industry leaders, and international organizations to accelerate deployment of zero-emission shipping technologies, clean fuels, and sustainable freight infrastructure. At C40 Cities, Krayenes oversees collaborative programs designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution from the maritime sector while advancing resilient and equitable port development strategies. Her work includes helping cities and ports implement policies related to shore power, green shipping corridors, clean fuels such as hydrogen and methanol, zero-emission cargo handling equipment, and sustainable supply chain modernization.
