Hamed Noori

Founder and CEO, SenseNet Inc.

Hamed Noori is Founder and CEO of SenseNet Inc., a Canadian climate technology company focused on AI-powered wildfire detection, monitoring, and management systems. Based in Vancouver, Noori leads the company’s mission to protect communities, critical infrastructure, forests, and industrial assets from increasingly severe wildfire risks through advanced sensing, satellite integration, and real-time analytics. Under Noori’s leadership, SenseNet has developed an integrated wildfire intelligence platform that combines IoT sensors, AI-enabled cameras, satellite data, mesh communications, and predictive analytics to identify wildfire threats in their earliest stages — including smoldering conditions before visible smoke or flames emerge. The company works with utilities, municipalities, renewable energy operators, forestry organizations, and governments across North and South America to improve wildfire preparedness and response capabilities.Noori founded SenseNet in 2019 after a career focused on connected systems, wireless communications, and intelligent transportation technologies. Prior to launching the company, he worked as an engineering consultant at the University of British Columbia on the AURORA Connected Vehicle Testbed project funded by Transport Canada, and also held engineering and research roles related to connected vehicle systems and IoT technologies in Canada and Finland. A recognized voice in climate resilience and wildfire technology, Noori has spoken internationally on the role of AI and early detection systems in addressing escalating wildfire threats. Under his leadership, SenseNet has received growing recognition within the climate tech sector, including partnerships with renewable energy companies and awards for climate innovation and technology leadership. Noori holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia and master’s degrees in Mechatronics, Micromachines, and Wireless Communication from Tampere University of Technology in Finland. His work continues to focus on applying advanced AI and sensor technologies to large-scale environmental and public safety challenges.
