Biography: Janisse Quiñones is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Engineer of LADWP, leading over 11,000 employees in delivering water and power to Los Angeles. With 25+ years of experience in utilities and engineering, she previously held senior executive roles at PG&E, National Grid, Cobra Energy, and San Diego Gas & Electric. A U.S. Coast Guard Reserve Officer since 2004, she has served in key leadership positions, including disaster response and infrastructure restoration.

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and holds an MBA, a Master’s in International Relations, and professional engineering licenses in five states. Her career spans engineering, operations, and system management, focusing on reliability, safety, and resilience in the energy sector.
