Kristen Barbee

Principal Manager, SoCal Edison

Kristen Barbee is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience at Southern California Edison (SCE). Throughout her career, she has specialized in performing, supervising, and managing activities related to the design, construction, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system. With over 22 years in the Distribution Construction and Maintenance (DC&M) Organization, Kristen has been instrumental in identifying and implementing strategies to maximize crew safety, ensure compliance, and provide superior customer service on behalf of SCE. Kristen has played a crucial role in emergency response efforts, including overseeing the Eaton Fire electrical restoration response with over 130 crews out of our Santa Anita temporary laydown site. She also led Edison's mutual assistance response leading 10 Edison crews in Florida assisting Florida Power & Light (FPL) during Hurricane Milton.

Kristen holds a Master of Arts in Management from the University of Redlands. Her studies focused on exploring organizational strategy, human resources, labor relations, and diversity issues in the workplace. She applied her new knowledge to real-world scenarios at Edison, receiving valuable feedback from the University of Redlands faculty. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Willamette University in Salem, OR.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting national parks, and hiking with her family. She is also an avid snow skier. Kristen has two daughters: one who plays for the women's soccer team at the University of Idaho, and another who is in high school. For the last 7 years, she has actively volunteered within her community through National Charity League and other community organizations, often working side by side with her daughters.
