Vamsi Kumar Kotla is the Co-Founder and CEO of ReMo Homes, a California-based modular housing company focused on addressing the housing affordability and climate crises through advanced manufacturing, sustainable design, and net-zero residential construction. Founded in 2022, ReMo Homes develops steel modular homes that integrate clean energy systems, resiliency features, and industrialized construction methods inspired by the aerospace and automotive industries. Born and raised in India in a family with deep roots in construction, Kotla pursued graduate studies in computer science at the University of Southern California and later earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University. Before founding ReMo Homes, he built a career as a serial entrepreneur across multiple industries while maintaining a longstanding connection to construction and real estate development.Under Kotla’s leadership, ReMo Homes has emerged as an innovative player in California’s modular housing sector, focusing on factory-built, all-electric, climate-resilient homes designed to reduce both construction costs and environmental impact. The company has received growing attention from investors, state agencies, and federal partners, including securing a multimillion-dollar award from the California Energy Commission and entering research collaborations related to energy efficiency and advanced building technologies.
