Laurie Ochoa is General Manager of food coverage at the Los Angeles Times. Previously, she was the paper’s arts and entertainment editor, executive editor of Gourmet magazine, editor in chief of LA Weekly, co-founder of the literary journalism magazine Slake: Los Angeles and food editor of the Los Angeles Times. She has won two James Beard Foundation Journalism Awards and is the co-author of “Nancy Silverton’s Breads From La Brea Bakery.”
