Nasser Faarooqui is the Founder and CEO of GridGPT, an AI-powered platform accelerating the delivery of reliable, affordable, and abundant electricity for the modern economy. With nearly two decades of experience spanning infrastructure delivery, national electricity regulation, applied R&D, and technology entrepreneurship, Nasser operates at the critical intersection of artificial intelligence, power systems engineering, and public policy—translating complex grid challenges into practical infrastructure outcomes.

His career is defined by scaling complex energy infrastructure on a global stage. As a trusted advisor to governments, regulators, and developers across the US, Oceania, and Southeast Asia, Nasser’s track record ranges from serving as Principal Advisor at the Electricity Authority of New Zealand, to leading renewable energy advisory mandates for the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on gigawatt-scale solar deployments, to advancing USAID-backed cross-border energy corridors and regional grid harmonization across Southeast Asia.

Today, Nasser translates his deep understanding of global power markets into actionable technology. Drawing on experience across more than 3 GW of hyperscale data center infrastructure and 5 GW of generation assets, his work at GridGPT is bringing Agentic AI to the electricity sector—building the world's most advanced power system AI engine.
