Peter Ambler

Peter Ambler is a public policy and government affairs leader specializing in climate resilience, emergency preparedness, and bipartisan advocacy. He currently serves as Vice President of Global Government Affairs at Pano AI, a climate technology company focused on early wildfire detection and situational awareness through artificial intelligence, computer vision, and advanced sensor networks. In his role, Ambler leads government partnerships and public-sector engagement efforts that help utilities, emergency agencies, and communities deploy next-generation wildfire mitigation technologies. Before joining Pano AI, Ambler was widely recognized for his leadership in national public policy and advocacy. He co-founded GIFFORDS alongside former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and Senator Mark Kelly, serving as Executive Director during a period of major legislative and organizational growth. Under his leadership, the organization helped advance hundreds of state-level public safety laws, secured more than $1 billion in federal gun violence prevention and research funding, and contributed to the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Ambler also served as a Special Advisor at the United States Department of Energy, where he worked on energy and climate policy initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held senior congressional staff roles, including Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and Congressman Harry Teague, developing expertise in legislative strategy, crisis management, and coalition building across government, industry, and nonprofit sectors
