Peter Rose is a strategic communications and stakeholder engagement leader with extensive experience in clean energy policy, government relations, and international affairs. As Senior Director of Stakeholder Relations for Hydro-Québec Energy Services U.S., Rose leads outreach and partnership initiatives across the Northeastern United States, helping strengthen collaboration among government agencies, community organizations, business leaders, and energy stakeholders as the region advances toward a lower-carbon energy future. Based in New York, Rose plays a key role in advancing major renewable energy transmission initiatives, including Hydro-Québec’s clean hydropower partnerships serving New England and New York. He is recognized for building cross-sector relationships that support energy reliability, climate resilience, and sustainable infrastructure development. His work frequently centers on public engagement, environmental advocacy, and regional economic collaboration. Before joining Hydro-Québec in 2021, Rose held leadership positions in government affairs and international communications, including work with the Québec Government Office in New York and global climate diplomacy initiatives tied to COP22. His background also includes experience in political risk analysis, public policy, and nonprofit international development initiatives. Rose holds a Master of Science in Global Affairs from New York University and dual bachelor’s degrees in International Communications and Political Science from The American University of Paris. He is widely regarded as a thoughtful advocate for renewable energy cooperation and community-centered climate solutions.
