Biography: In June 2024, Samantha Bricker founded Bricker Strategic Solutions to offer guidance and expertise to local government agencies and private firms in the areas of organizational management, administration, environmental planning, stakeholder engagement, and project management. Specializing in complex projects as well as policy and program development, Bricker Strategic Solutions provides strategic thinking, leadership, advice, and direction in the development and implementation of effective policies and programs. Currently, Ms. Bricker serves as the Project Manager for the implementation of Metro’s new Transit Community Public Safety Department.
In May 2024, Samantha Bricker retired after 32 years of service in local government. Prior to her retirement, she held the position of Chief Sustainability and Revenue Management Officer/Assistant General Manager at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), where she was responsible for overseeing Commercial Development, Mobility Strategy and Parking, Sustainability and Environmental Programs, as well as Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. Ms. Bricker managed a team of over 200 employees and numerous consultants, overseeing all hiring, budgeting, policies, and programs within her divisions.
Before her tenure at LAWA, Ms. Bricker was the Chief Operating Officer at the Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority, where she played a pivotal role in planning, designing, and constructing the $2.5 billion Expo Line from downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica. She managed all administrative and operating functions for the Authority, including budget, HR, real estate, third-party coordination, community and government relations, SBE and labor compliance, procurement, and environmental planning.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Bricker served as a Senior Transportation Deputy for Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky for over 12 years before transitioning to the Expo Authority. Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Bricker has been instrumental in securing approvals for complex infrastructure projects, implementing major policies and initiatives, and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure the success of critical public and private sector projects.
