Tomohiro Fujita

Section Chief, Namie Town, Fukushima

Tomohiro Fujita is the Section Chief of the New Energy Promotion Section at the Town Office of Namie in Fukushima Prefecture. Since joining the Namie Town Government in 2005, he has been involved in a wide range of infrastructure development and post-disaster reconstruction projects. Following the Great East Japan Earthquake, Mr. Fujita played a key role in restoring water and sewage infrastructure in the affected region. He later contributed to major reconstruction initiatives, including the development of new roads and residential communities to support the town’s recovery. Since 2022, he has led projects focused on renewable energy and hydrogen energy promotion in Namie. As part of the town’s long-term reconstruction and sustainability strategy, Namie is advancing innovative energy initiatives aimed at creating a hydrogen- based society where clean energy is integrated into everyday life. Mr. Fujita is committed to promoting regional revitalization through sustainable energy policy, public-private collaboration, and community-oriented innovation.
