Heather Repenning

Executive Officer of Sustainability Policy

Heather Repenning is the Executive Officer of Sustainability Policy at LA Metro.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Water District.

Repenning is the former Vice President of the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works, overseeing the Department of Public Works’ management of solid resources, wastewater, stormwater, urban canopy, streets and design and construction of public facilities.  In this capacity, Repenning led on issues including recycling, food waste, green infrastructure, the Los Angeles River, and LA County’s Clean Safe Water program. 

Repenning previously served as Director of External Affairs for Mayor Garcetti, managing intergovernmental and community advocacy for the City of Los Angeles, including in Sacramento and Washington, DC. 

Heather graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College and holds a Master’s Degree from the University of California, Irvine.
