Margaret Kirkpatrick, of MDK/Pearl LLC, joined Pearl Legal Group PC as Of Counsel in January 2016, where she advises clients on public policy and strategy, with an emphasis on energy and the environment. She is also the Director of Brighter Oregon, The Oregon Business Plan Coalition.
Margaret served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Northwest Natural Gas Co. from June 2005 through 2014 and as the Company’s Senior Vice President of Environmental Affairs from 2014-2016. Before she joined NW Natural, Margaret was a partner with Stoel Rives, LLP. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Chapter of the Nature Conservancy. She is also on the Board of Trustees for Portland State University and on the boards of The Classroom Law Project and The Children’s Institute.
Margaret has a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster (1976), a JD from Lewis and Clark College (1982) and an LLM from the University of Edinburgh (1987). Margaret lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, Earl Blumenauer.
