Biography: 

Ruth Cox leads the marketing and sales programs for Centauri Energy LLC, a clean energy developer with solar and wind projects across the western U.S.  She brings extensive experience in strategic marketing and business development for the clean tech, computing and telecommunication industries to this position. Most recently, Ms. Cox served in a presidential appointment as the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA’s) Pacific Rim Regional Administrator, overseeing a 36-million-square-foot real estate portfolio, a $1 billion supply chain, 1,000 associates, and a budget of almost $1 billion. She also served as the GSA’s Senior Sustainability Officer and Senior Official for Executive Order 13423, “Strengthening Federal Environmental, Energy and Transportation Management.” In this role, she led efforts to integrate sustainability into all aspects of GSA’s operations, significantly increasing clean power consumption and energy efficiency in GSA’s buildings, reducing fossil fuel use in the Federal fleet and greening the supply chain.  Ms. Cox’s enterprise sales and marketing experience in the tech sector includes work as a marketing executive at Hewlett-Packard and Tandem Computers where she built high-growth lines of business serving the telecommunications industry. In 2004, she entered politics and government to help stimulate economic growth and improve quality of life through clean-power generation, energy efficiency and sustainable business practices.
