Led by the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the Joint Electric Truck Scaling Initiative (JETSI) project will deploy 100 trucks manufactured by Daimler and Volvo, and will be operated by NFI Industries and Schneider on freight corridors serving the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, as well as distribution centers across Southern California. States Join Forces to Accelerate Bus & Truck Electrification

In July, 15 states and the District of Columbia announced a joint memorandum of understanding (MOU), committing to work collaboratively to advance and accelerate the market for electric medium- and heavy-duty vehicles to achieve the deep economy-wide emission reductions needed to avoid the worst consequences of climate change.

Lion Electric's Zero-Emission Trucks & Buses Lead the Pack in Southern California

In June, the California Air Resources Board adopted a first-in-the-world Advanced Clean Truck rule requiring truck manufacturers to transition from diesel trucks and vans to electric zero-emission trucks beginning in 2024, so that, by 2045, every new truck sold in California wi
